TangentLens

Home / About

A small team, building the tool it wanted.

Tangent is made by Selicatech, alongside StreamMQ — the message broker that carries Tangent's own event pipeline. We use both products to build both products.

Why

Analytics tools are confident about things they cannot know.

Every product analytics tool will hand you a list of anomalies, ranked, with no indication of how many of them are noise. Scan enough segments and some will always look significant — that is arithmetic, not insight. Most tools do not mention it.

We built the opposite: a tool that corrects for the number of things it tested, refuses to compute a statistic from data too thin to support one, and shows you the query behind every number so you never have to take one on faith.

  • →Show the work. Every AI answer arrives with the SQL that produced it. Every root-cause finding says how many segments were tested and how many would have looked significant by chance.
  • →Say what is missing. Our docs, our security page and this website all carry a section on what does not exist yet. You will find out eventually; better now.
  • →Never lose an event. Queue on the device, buffer in a replayable log, retry until it lands. Anything unprocessable is kept and shown to you, not silently dropped.
  • →Keep the data yours. Export whenever you like. Raw events never reach a model. Bring your own model if ours is not acceptable to your security team.

The honest bit

We are early.

Tangent is new. We do not have a wall of customer logos, an analyst quadrant, or a conference. What we have is a product you can inspect before you talk to anyone: a public event protocol, OpenAPI specifications, one conformance suite across nine SDKs, and documentation without a signup wall.

What this costs you

Less proof

No references to call yet, no SOC 2, no published SLA. If your procurement requires those today, we are not the right fit yet — and we will say so.

What this gets you

A real say

Early customers shape what gets built. Your migration problem is a roadmap item, not a support ticket queued behind a thousand others.

What does not change

Your data is yours

Export it whenever you like. We would rather be the fastest way to use your events than the only place they exist.

Come and find the holes in it.

Genuinely. Tell us what is missing and we will tell you whether it is coming.
