Draft — not yet reviewed by a lawyer. This document is a working skeleton written by the Tangent team to cover the right ground in the right order. It has not been reviewed by a qualified data-protection or commercial lawyer, and it must be before Tangent accepts a paying customer. Treat it as a checklist of what needs to exist, not as an enforceable agreement.

This website

This marketing site sets no cookies and runs no third-party trackers. There is no advertising pixel, no analytics tag and no consent banner, because there is nothing to consent to. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts; nothing else is fetched from a third party.

The application

When you sign in to Tangent, we store what is needed to keep you signed in and remember your preferences:

  • Session — proves you are signed in. Strictly necessary; the product cannot work without it.
  • Preferences — the project you last had open, your chosen theme, and similar conveniences.

No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set, ever.

The SDK, in your product

Tangent's browser SDK stores a device identifier so repeat visits can be recognised as the same browser. Whether it is set at all is your decision: the SDK supports consent gating, and where a visitor has not consented, nothing is stored and nothing is sent. You can also run it in a cookieless mode. See the privacy and consent documentation for how to configure it.
